YAK

With reference to your telegram of 7th November with exception of an ex-Admiral 79 years of age the only Ottoman subjects in Hongkong are thirty Jews men and women most of them born Bagdad some of whom have resided here for many years they are in sympathy with British Government. With concurrence of General Officer Commanding I do not propose to intern them but they will not be allowed to leave Colony. There is no Turkish Consul here.
